I have decided that the new USDA symbol should be the Food Pentagram.

It only makes sense. We already had an Egyptian theme (pyramids) and Druidic theme (circles) so instead of going with the clown theme (balloons) we should go with Satanic theme (pentagram).
Mainly because this government is so evil it goes without saying. :)
Disclaimer: I KNOW that pentagrams are stereotypically Satanic and are mainly used in many pagan religions and magickal societies. Just go with the joke ok?!? :)

Actually the pentagram is an ancient symbol used to represent k’haewgt a small frog-like deity worshiped by small reptilian mammals from the early crustaceous period. And oddly enough, it often had the dual representation of the local food chain, since these early crustaceous reptilian mammals were mostly prey, much as the celestial flies were to k’haewgt.
So now you know the rest of the story
