Change is the ever-present part of being. We transform and are transformed by every moment. Every thought and every action results and is a result of everything we experience consciously and unconsciously. In effect, we are the culmination of everything we have ever experienced.
Now, that may seem like a lot and potentially any act or thought could drastically change our lives in ways we are not prepared for. However, this is an effortless process and we do it all the time. The great thing about this is that we are capable of determining and choosing our thoughts and actions every day.
So, practicing anything over and over again, say negative thoughts and actions, yet expecting much in our lives to be positive is far-fetched. Any practiced action, whether what we want or not, will lead to practiced behaviors, our thoughts and actions. If we want to change our lives and beliefs in ways that result in positive thoughts and actions, we must choose to feel good, think in ways that are positive, and do actions that are fun and interesting.
Negative leads to negative, positive leads to positive; it is as simple as that.
How do we get there from where we are now? Pick your next thought or action. What does it feel like? Is it helping you to be the way you want to be or is it part of a continuing pattern that you are experiencing? Perhaps, just this once, choose to let go of the sadness or frustration that you may be feeling, or do something that feels good to you and also uplifts someone you care about.
It is your choice, choose what you like, literally.
