Hi all!
So, I have come to believe, and have seen in my own life, that happiness is a choice. I believe that we all get to choose whether to be happy or not. Each moment we have the opportunity to choose how our day goes, and how our life will become.
Now, many folks say that there are people who do not have the choice on one subject or another. I think that our higher, or deeper, self chose any limitations or disabilities that all of us experience to one degree or another. We each, from this deeper perspective, are blessed with the challenges and conflicts we face because they are learning experiences and we can learn the value and unique knowledge that these limitations can offer.
I believe that any mental or physical ailment or difference from "normal" is a gift that we have given ourselves in this life. We cannot possibly understand what it is to live life blind without actually going through life that way. We cannot know what beauty or wisdom someone with autism experiences without having it ourselves.
What we can do is acknowledge our "limitations" and "differences" and enjoy life from our own perspective. There is no right or wrong way to live life. We each perceive what we enjoy and feel good about, as well as what we despise and feel terrible about. No one way is right for everyone. But, from a broader perspective, I believe there is value in the contrast of thoughts and ideas from the multitude of ways to experience the universe.
I am thankful for this life and the chance to live it the way I do! I hope you all enjoy it in your own way and find your happiness, whatever it may be. Blessings to you!
