Creativity in Many Forms

Today I created a Certificate of Appreciation for the Maine Wholeschoolers to send to the companies and folks who donated to the Spaghetti Supper. We had over 20 different auction items as well as foods and other items donated.

I created an illumination border using colored pencils (see picture). I did 4 flowers with vines around the border based on some of techniques I learned in a new book I got called "The Art of Botanical Drawing: An Introductory Guide" by Agathe Ravet-Haevermans. She gives very interesting ways to create flowers and vines, though much of it has to do with watercolors rather than drawing. Regardless, I made a nice border that the kids can use to show their appreciation for the donations.

Also, last night, Starcat and I drummed for a Pagan fundraiser called The Longest Night. We did the introduction and the intermission and I also read the poem I wrote last week called "On This Yuletide." The poem was not on the original slate for the show, but I offered it up and it fit perfectly as the invocation for the night.

I love being able to express myself in all the the different ways I like. I also enjoy giving my time for charity as well as for my benefit monetarily. As I spend more time on my many projects, I am feeling more confident in my ability to create whatever it is I want. I love being able to spend much of the day doing creative stuff as well as playing around with the kids. I also have two patent ideas that I plan to put through the process, though I will need some assistance in that aspect.

I look forward to moving forward in all my creative endeavors!
